Snoop Dogg in Italy: 2026 Olympic Torch Relay and New Role at NBC
American rapper Snoop Dogg surprised his fans again by participating in the Olympic Torch Relay, which took place in the lead-up to the 2026 Olympic Games. The relay covered the Italian city of Gallarate, as well as Busto Arsizio, Legnano, Saronno, Seveso, Desio, and Monza. This event became a significant stage of preparation for the Games, which took place from February 6 to 22 in Italy, with Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo serving as host cities.This is not the first time Snoop Dogg has participated in such events. At the Summer Games in Paris, he was already a torchbearer and took part in the closing ceremony. In addition, he covered the competition for the NBC channel. In 2026, Snoop Dogg will again serve as an NBC correspondent along with host Mike Tirico.
Interestingly, last December, Snoop Dogg became the honorary coach of the US team at the 2026 Olympic Games. This volunteer position was aimed at supporting and inspiring American athletes outside of competition.
